Home » We can use Microsoft Teams and ICT to communicate our critical thinking
Thinking critically, collaborating, and communicating in an innovative way are skills developed by students in the social studies class, thanks to the accessibility and adaptability that Microsoft Teams and the use of ICT give to learning. Be it in a hybrid, synchronic or asynchronous class, students are required to connect the ideas that they discuss about a certain topic, after having planned, selected, and integrated the information in the creation of a product, ICT or not, that could be applied to different contexts in daily life.
Critical thinking gives the tools that are necessary to evaluate sources, understand facts and demonstrate the construction of their social knowledge by communicating their own ideas regarding a concept or a topic by sharing Word documents with Share Point; One Note to make wikis or create PowerPoint presentations, interact with Pear Deck; participate in virtual forums through channels or evaluate their knowledge through Forms.
Such as the teaching sequences are planned, students get access to diverse learning styles, communication channels, empathetic and significant connections; at the same time, they generate transfers, they develop historic empathy, they discover multiple perspectives of events and perform metacognition actions in which they are aware of their learning process in social studies.
