Infirmary

• Health promotion activities and acquisition of healthy habits.
• Prevention programs for the early detection of health problems, with the support of specialized entities.
• Support the “Occupational Safety and Management System”, collaborating with preventive medicine programs to care for employees.

The Nursing Department does not have prescription drugs such as antibiotics, antiparasitics, anti-inflammatory drugs, inhalers, or anticonvulsants.

• Provide health care assistance in acute and chronic situations according to care needs.
• Create an individualized medical history of students and a consultation diary.
• Refer students to the health care center when deemed necessary.
• Keep parents or guardians informed about the health situation of the students.
• Administer treatments and medications prescribed by medical professionals with prior written authorization.

For the administration of medication, the following must be sent:

• Clear photocopy of the medical formula.
• In cases where medications are ordered by telephone, parents must send a mail addressed to the infirmary with the student’s name, course, date, name of the drug, presentation, frequency, the dosage of treatment, and duration of treatment with the parents’ name and signature. Exception: antibiotics and control medications are only administered with a medical prescription as required by the SDS.

• If your child has had symptoms of nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, or abdominal pain, do not send them to school.
• Students should stay home if they have had a fever within the last 24 hours, as this indicates that they may have a viral or infectious illness. Consultation with the treating physician is recommended.
• In case of contagious diseases such as chickenpox, rubella or measles, etc., please contact the infirmary and mail the diagnosis signed by the pediatrician. The same recommendation applies in case of digestive diseases or colds with fever.
• Keep your child’s medical record filled out and updated. If any health situation has arisen, report it by phone or send the supports to the Nurse’s Office.

Next to the infirmary is La Sala Amiga (The Friendly Room), a space designed to provide nursing mothers with a quiet and exclusive environment.
