Jugend debattiert “Youth Debate” is a successful competition from Germany that aims to get students to communicate their point of view in an argumentative way through persuasion and expressiveness. From 7th grade onwards, this format is regularly implemented as part of German classes.
From 8th through 12th grade, students have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in school and state competitions. Colombia’s best arguers qualify for the South American competition.
