Transfers and reinstatements
Colegio Andino offers the possibility of enrolling new or old students from other German-speaking schools, either inside or outside the country.
Requirements
Transfer Requirements
- Make an appointment with the Rectory and the Administrative Office by writing to andino@colegioandino.edu.co.
- Fill out the admissions form completely. Both parents must sign it.
Provide:
- Paz y Salvo from the current German school in Colombia (only if applicable).
- Photocopy of the student’s vaccination certificate.
- Medical certificate stating the student’s state of health, dated no more than three months ago.
- Eye exam performed by a specialist not older than three months.
- Hearing exam performed by a specialist, dated no more than three months.
- These medical certificates must be issued in Colombia by physicians with their respective registration numbers.
- One (1) recent photo of the student, size 3 x 4, in color with white background.
- One (1) photo of the father, size 3 x 4, in color with white background.
- One (1) photo of the mother, size 3 x 4, in color with white background.

- Birth certificate legalized by the Colombian Consulate in the country of origin.
- Photocopy of the student’s passport with the corresponding Colombian visa.

Grades in original from 1st grade on, with the respective observations of approval. These grades must state the level of schooling, the academic year, the subjects taken, the grades, and the grading scale.

Recognition and validation of the school years taken abroad
The Colombian Ministry of National Education (MEN) recognizes and validates school years completed abroad. The parents must carry out this validation process through the MEN website.
The grades from 1st grade must be apostilled or legalized by the Colombian Consulate in the country of origin and translated by an official translator in Colombia. The MEN’s response must be delivered to the school at the General Secretary’s Office.

Students coming from a German school abroad must validate at Colegio Andino the subjects considered by the MEN in two years.
Occasionally, subjects not taken abroad that are part of the Colombian curriculum must be validated.
