For more than 20 years, students from our school have participated in the Colombian Mathematics Olympics. Thanks to their outstanding national performance, they have been selected several times to be part of the Colombian delegation, representing our country in international competitions.
This competition aims to cultivate a taste for mathematical skills. The Math Kangaroo is the “seedbed” for future participants in the Math Olympiads from 7th to 12th grade.
The main event of the Mathematical Olympics in the second semester of the year. It aims to generate healthy competition between schools in each region of the country.
Students who wish to participate are divided according to their level of schooling to take the test. Once the event is over, the most outstanding schools in each region compete in teams in the “Regional Mathematics Day”, qualifying for the National Mathematics Week.
Students compete in 2 individual rounds and are divided into three levels according to their schooling level. It consists of a qualifying test and a selective test to classify among the 15 best students representing the region in the National Mathematics Week.
