Home » Memory Games with PowerPoint for Kindergarten children in Colegio Andino Bogotá
One of children’s favorite games is memory, but on the PC. Is it possible? With Microsoft 365, there are no limits for creativity!
I created a memory game for one of my classes using PowerPoint and I shared my screen with the children using Microsoft Teams. When it is a child’s turn, he or she gives me two numbers of the cards he or she wants to see and I “reveal” them. If the drawings on both cards are the same, the child earns a point and can play again. If they do not match, it is the next child’s turn. I have discovered a great advantage in virtual memory with the function of PowerPoint of Microsoft 365.
I use the Microsoft Teams platform in my work with children in virtual kindergarten. This platform enables me not only to give virtual classes, but to implement games, experiments and homework that is age appropriate. It has also helped me, especially during COVID-19 and quarantine, with several of its functions to bring a piece of normality and routine of a children’s kindergarten all the way to their home.
Microsoft Teams has given me the opportunity of creating an emotional link with them and to keep a personal and intense contact with the children and their families. Besides, the children have been able to acquire basic knowledge in the platform use during this time, keep their social contacts, and practice autonomy and a sense of responsibility.
