English at the school
The students at our school have an outstanding command of German and English, so they can study at universities worldwide and have good job opportunities in companies with an international vocation.
In 1st and 2nd grade, the children begin to learn English in a playful way through games and songs, and in 3rd grade, particular emphasis is given to the correct pronunciation of the third language. In 4th grade, the language becomes part of the main subjects, thus consolidating its learning in later grades.
In 7th and 11th grade, students take the Cambridge KET and Cambridge First exams, respectively, which evaluate reading and oral comprehension and expression.
In 11th grade, students who choose to do so take the subjects of biology and history in English. Following the methodology of content and language integrated learning (CLIL), where students learn through the improvement of their language skills and grow within a globalized and intercultural education, naturally using the characteristics of another language in the acquisition of different skills related to their subjects.
This year is also when they take the Cambridge First certification exam, valued in applications for admission to universities around the world.
