The main objective of the Colegio Andino Summer Camp is to allow 5th and 6th graders to experience the language and culture of Germany for the first time. On this trip, they will be able to use and improve their acquired knowledge of the German language and learn and understand the German culture that is part of the identity of our school.
The Summer Camp is an opportunity to mature in these crucial ages of development. It invites students to be autonomous, learn to manage their resources, get by in new cities and towns, and improve their social skills.
After many years of enjoying Bavarian nature, we are now preparing to enjoy two new destinations in Germany: Bad Schussenried and Hamm.
These destinations allow the children to live and play with German and other children of the same age from other countries. Here they receive daily German lessons taught by native teachers, in which they enrich their vocabulary playfully and practically and obtain a certificate at the end of the course.
In addition, they experience sports activities led by young German students of pedagogy, who decide to work as camp chaperones as part of their preparation.
On this trip, teachers from our school with an excellent German level accompany the groups permanently in Germany during their camp.
We work with the Humbolt-Institut Verein für Deutsch als Fremdsprache e.V., represented in Colombia by the agency Estudiar.
