“Faustlos” is a program that takes place during group leadership hours (Klassenleiterstunde). It is a curriculum developed especially for school-age children (6 to 10 years old) that promotes prosocial knowledge and skills in empathy, impulse control, and anger and rage management.

During these hours, the children play activities and games in different functional classrooms and outdoors:
The course council takes place during the group management hour (Klassenleiterstunde). It is coordinated by the group director and the students and is a space where the children sit in a circle in the classroom, assume different roles, and talk and discuss experiences, wishes, and problems.
In this way, they develop social competencies, promoting integration in an environment of democratic interaction.
Routines play a fundamental role in the development of our children, both at school and at home.
Establishing schedules and daily habits not only provides structure but also fosters a sense of security and confidence in children.
In a learning environment, routines help students understand what is expected of them, promoting autonomy and responsibility. As children become familiar with daily activities—such as preparing their backpack and lunchbox, or organizing their study time—they become active participants in their own educational journey.
Additionally, school routines reinforce the development of social-emotional skills, such as collaboration and respect for others. At our school, we promote these practices so that every child feels included and motivated to grow.

Throughout the educational journey at Colegio Andino, it is essential to establish spaces for reflection on relationships with others and with the transcendent.
In this regard, students in Primary School may choose each year to attend either Catholic Religion classes or Religious Culture classes.
Catholic Religion Classes (ERE)
Catholic Religion classes, also known as School Religious Education (ERE), are focused on spiritual formation and Christian moral values.
Religious Culture Classes (CR)
Religious Culture classes provide an academic and cultural approach to the world’s major religions. These classes are inclusive and do not promote or discriminate against any particular creed or faith (more information can be found in the attached presentation).
The new Religious Culture (CR) curriculum aims to offer an inclusive education that does not center religious analysis on any one faith tradition.
On the contrary, it seeks to broaden the pedagogical horizon and provide all our students with new cultural and academic perspectives.
In 3rd grade, children are prepared to receive the sacrament of First Communion. All students who wish to participate are welcome to do so, regardless of whether they are enrolled in Catholic Religion (ERE) or Religious Culture (CR) classes.
