“Faustlos” is a program that takes place during group leadership hours (Klassenleiterstunde). It is a curriculum developed especially for school-age children (6 to 10 years old) that promotes prosocial knowledge and skills in empathy, impulse control, and anger and rage management..
Within the framework of the full day, no homework is assigned to the children. Instead, we provide them with study hours (Übungsstunden) within the school day to review content, complete activities or do demanding work according to their individual needs. During these hours, the children play activities and games in different functional classrooms and outdoors:
The course council takes place during the group management hour (Klassenleiterstunde). It is coordinated by the group director and the students and is a space where the children sit in a circle in the classroom, assume different roles, and talk and discuss experiences, wishes, and problems.
In this way, they develop social competencies, promoting integration in an environment of democratic interaction.
